USS Montclair (ID-3497) was a United States Navy refrigerated cargo ship in commission from 1918 to 1919.

The SS Belgian was a 5,287-ton steamship which was built in 1919, sold in 1934 becoming Amelia Lauro, seized in 1940 and renamed Empire Activity and wrecked in 1943. She was scrapped at Hong Kong in 1956, the last surviving White Star Line cargo ship. Post-war she was sold, and continued her civilian maritime career. Post-war she was returned to the U.S. Shipping Board as redundant to needs.

SS Tiberton was a British steam cargo ship that was sunk during World War II by the German submarine U-23. The ship had been spotted one hour earlier but no neutrality markings were noticed. One crew member, the nurse Manoel Florêncio Coimbra was lost, he probably was killed by the explosion while sleeping in his cabin. In 1937, she was sold to Finland and renamed Angra. A further sale in 1942 saw her renamed Mercator. With her engine room flooded she was abandoned by her crew and left to sink. Her crew were rescued by the French vessel SS Docteur Pierre Benoit. USS West Gate (ID-3216) was a cargo ship for the United States Navy during World War I. The ship was laid down as SS War Agate, but she was launched in January 1918 as SS West Gate instead.
She was built by the Burntisland Shipbuilding Company Ltd. in Fife, Scotland. The North Eastern Marine Engineering Co. Ltd. of Sunderland built her 335 NHP three-cylinder triple expansion steam engine. On her voyage across the Atlantic to her owners, she carried lumber to Cardiff, Wales. She was delivered to the Shipping Controller on 23 April 1919, who assigned her to be managed by Hansen Brothers & Company, Ltd. She was named by the U.S. Navy for Cape Lookout, which are points on the coasts of both North Carolina and Washington. RFA War Pathan (X84) was a War-class tanker of the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary. She returned to Immingham and Dublin, Ireland, to load material being returned to the States.
